Sharing some tips in google for academics
Some may even say that be in the academy in those days, is kinda easy, since Sergey and Larry, already took a look in those questions, some time ago in the 90`s. By the way, take a look in some of their`s publications:
Sergey
https://research.google.com/pubs/SergeyBrin.html , or
http://infolab.stanford.edu/~sergey/
Larry
https://research.google.com/pubs/LawrencePage.html , or
http://dblp.org/pers/hd/p/Page:Larry
In the Brazilian society, where academy usually is proud of being isolated from the real questions in society, wherever they may be: business, social inequality (looking for situations inside our main cities)... is by some perspective easy to forget that that companies like Google, Monsato,Syngenta are heavily dependent on academic research.
So, lets take a look in tips for academic reseach.
First and most important, look for who knows what is doing.
How?Well it will depend, what do you want to understand?
Basic content
For introductory content the best will always be search for the syllabus in the best universities (by the best, is kinda obvious that we are talking about ivy leagues plus a very small group of universities). Look for the textbook used in those courses usually will help us saving a precious time, from trying to understand confused ideas by authors, that may know the content but fail in organize its own ideas. A good example of author that fit very, in the concept of well organizers of its own ideas are the following:
-Olivier Blanchard
-Gilbert Strang
-Richard Feynman
Papers
With that said we are finally able to talk about a second level, when we talk about how to use google, for academic purposes. As immediate consequence of the first rule, the point is find some publications of authors that you admire, the kind of people that is able to show you a small detail in the world, that will sound so obvious after you got guided, you may end up asking yourself how did you not had that insight before.
Usually it will be a simple idea, but very well developed.
Business
Search for business content is kinda simple is just a question of know who is the best in some area, and use that information to your own advantage when you google it. Take a look
“interest fiel+ some consulting company+ .pdf/.ppt”
Some key names to wear in your research
Bain and Company
Mckynsey
BCG
BTG Pactual
Credit Suisse
BlackRock
Deutsche Bank
And some last tips:
Don’t to forget to use https://www.quora.com/ There always interesting people available to help.
And, if you found this article you probably already knows, but if you don’t https://sci-hub.cc/

Melhorando o vestibular e mensurando a mediocridade
Selecionar
processo seletivo objetivo, direto e igualitário, vamos definir a classe social
A grande
Essa
objetividade excessiva torna o processo sujeito a inúmeras distorções, fruto do
E aqui vamos buscar analisar a mediocridade no
A ideia é
pega um taxi para ganhar a maratona (Aka The Fresh Prince of Bel-air).
frequentou a escola.
Nesse processo eu
Assim no momento

Australian low economic complexity, and services exports
Vídeo that i will be citing in the text
https://www.austrade.gov.au/news/economic-analysis/australias-export-performance-in-2015-16
Australia at OEC - MIT LAB
The ideia of have Australia as just a commodities exporter,
doesn’t make any sense at all. Since there are many details in Australian exports,
like the notion of “exports of education”, with the exchange programs industry.
Something like that can be seen in middle east, where societies like Qatar,
Bahrein and Arabic Emirates, are following the path of financial services
exports ( taking the place that in older times have belonged to countries such
as Switzerland , and British islands). Panamá, can also be seen as another
example of services exports based country, which has became obvious since the
leaks in Panamá Papers.
There are enormous difficulties in measure services export’s
, that can make some models unable to capture this details. However, since when
we to services exports we are looking to a context in which high paying jobs
(white collars) stay in the country, without the need to keep the production
phase with low paying jobs (blue collar) in the society.
In a overview speak about economic complexity, is know that
the agent doesn’t have job by the usual patterns, but the agent is able to turn
knowledge in products (as Hidalgo speaks in the video). It gets clear, if we
thing in a chemical engineer, someone who already understands about pH, then when
someone with this profile starts to enjoy aquariums as a hobby, it’s easy to
see this hobby becoming a company.
Taking a look at the context in Shenzen – China we are able
to see that many companies starts with someone that was already handling some
kind of knowledge, for other’s. So, when that agent leaves the job he already
is used to turn the knowledge in products, and already is used to the business
details in the process. At this point the agent will be able to act as
third-party supplying to his preview employer ( B787), or start his own company
(DJi, Huawei…) in the process of specialization. (Blanchard describes this
process in sections 12-2 e 12-3 of his Macroeconomics texbook).
The perspective that I’m building will follow the path of "Export
services in postindustrial society"(LINK) .
And getting back to the Australian case, many of the country
exports will happen in his own land trough the industries of Exchange program’s
and tourism.

Why Buffet got back to Nebraska?
"In some places it's easy to lose perspective. But I think it's very easy to keep perspective in a place like Omaha," he said.
Buffett said being far from Wall Street actually helped him.
"It's very easy to think clearly here. You're undisturbed by irrelevant factors and the noise generally of business investments," Buffett said. "If you can't think clearly in Omaha, you're not going to think clearly anyplace."

Why crazy movies became unforgettable in our minds?
Buried alive (1990). This is the kind of movie, that you will never forget. Even the movie offering so many reasons to be forgotten, like a weak revenge story, or the scene in which Clint ( Tim Matheson) dives his wound hands in alcohol. Even with the poor performances by the actors, that scene is unforgettable(a reason to forget the movie, makes it unforgettable…), by the way, the actor's performance is a very special reason to forget the movie. There’s also the dubious acting for the week character’s like Willian Atherton.
Even with so many reasons, to never think about such a poor movie, the fact is that this movie has played a very important role in life my life. I’m not sure about the reason, probably something with the click bait Synopsis.but…
The main point in the whole thought is: Why crazy movies became unforgettable in our minds?

Money as a social-proxy
How would people make social transitions, if we would live in a system without money? The idea of social transitions and inequality is pretty much associated with our capitalist system, but in fact, inequality would exist even if we would live in some kind of social-anarchy society. In fact, today, if we consider a system without distortions created by the government choosing winners, wealth accumulation is pretty much an accumulation of social capital, since someone will only accumulate money if he offer`s something that society considers to have some value. In fact, value by itself is a social construction, which gets`s clear if think about why golden is such an important metal in our society, even if we have other metal`s that as much rare, as gold is. I would even allow myself to think in the simple facts, gold is beautiful and it`s hard to get, if someone wants to have something that is nice and beautiful this will have a small value in the first exchange involving a golden bar, this value will grow when the golden go through new hands, until the moment someone like a king gets interested in the bar, a since someone like king has already too much, he will be able to pay much, when he gets interested in something. If we consider in what happened in Spain when the country accumulated to much gold, this idea makes some sense.
We could argue about ˜why gold?˜, since if we ignore it`s chemical properties, it`s pretty much useless, but since the gold value it`s purely social at some point, people never get satiated as they would be with something that is useful.
Getting back to accumulation question, I would suggest that in a scenario without distortions we could in money as a social proxy.
Well, I ended-up by forgetting the social transition question, but it in a non-capitalist-extreme scenario has happened through the army, in old times, or even through the fame in our days.
I will be back to that theme in some moment.

The borderline betwen hands-on and formal knowledge
Usually, we can see peoples trying to establish a border line between hands-on knowledge, and formal knowledge. This is an honest mistake since people forgot, that formal knowledge is just a result of the process in which knowledge has been accumulated in previous hands-on experiences. Someone may talk about business, as an example of an activity where the learn-by-doing is kind of a rule, but even in business the poles of excellence (I assume that strategy consulting companies are a good example at here), are built under an intense knowledge accumulation and formalization process. Then, under this perspective, we can infer that the formal knowledge access stage, is just a step that allows us to avoid mistakes that have been made in previous hands-on process, conducted by other agents.
We can see the whole idea if we think that there are no prototypes in real scale of ships, so that’s a process that does not allow mistakes. Then in this kind of industry, be able to access previous formalized knowledge is vital.

Gone with the Wind (1939)
Well firstly be welcomed to Cinema & Cia ( I will no translate the title, but it means something like theater [movies] and others stuffs). Today in my first post in this blog I decided to talk about a movie that I have watched recently, and have loved, it`s a classical for the movie industry. When I have watched I get kinda sad, since I dind`t knew any place where I could talk, about how I have felt watching the movie, the I decided to create this blog. I hope that this blog will have at least a single reader, besides me. Then without any more further ado…you will see now my opinion about our first movie, which, as you probably have already noticed by the title is ˜Gone with the Wind˜ (1939).
Gone with the Wind (1939), asks us to follow the life of Scarlet Ohara, making with the viewer have attention to the challenges, that Scarlet will have to keep his beloved land, Tara( the farm). With the previous interest of keep his land, Scarlet even gets married twice, but she falls in love with his second husband.
During the movie we are able to see scarlet growing and becoming a big girl, with many more maturity, since at the beginning she is just a pampered child.
